BMW B58 / B48
The strong foundation of the modern BMW. The B58 is tough and reliable, and the same recipe works for the four-cylinder B48 but requires a bit modest approach.
The B58 is a robust inline six that responds very well to tuning, even on stock hardware. The four-cylinder B48 shares the same modular design, and we build custom datalog-based tunes for it too.
As power goes up, fuel delivery is the first limit you hit. An upgraded High pressure fuel pump is usually the first purchase. TU HPFP is the first step that helps with ethanol mix tunes to get the most out of your stock turbo. LPFP needs an upgrade when going over 700HP – we supply a B58 pump sized for more than 700 hp. Flex Fuel and map switching are available.
