BMW N55 / N13

Twin scroll inline six – Better than its reputation.

The N55 is a good base for tuning but quickly requires some updates to achieve some real power. First you need to upgrade your LPFP to Walbro 450 or 535. The HPFP is also pretty weak so the first and cheapest upgrade is to use B58TU pump. Stock turbo is also quite small so a hybrid turbo would be the next one on the list. Each custom tune is built from datalogs for your car's exact parts, whether you run the stock turbo or a hybrid. Flex Fuel, port injection and steering-wheel map switching are also available.

Ignition coils are weak parts in stock form and we strongly recommend upgrading to stronger and more reliable B58 OEM coils. It requires a conversion kit and we recommend SETES conversion kit which you can find from setestech.com and kauppa.bcmotors.fi webshops.

xDrive is supported on all models. For the smaller N13 engine we build tunes case by case – ask us for details.
